👟THE SCOOP
There really is something amazing about a boxing class. You’re able to get out so much aggression you didn’t even know you had! RockBox was super fun. The class was split up into two sections. The first section was boxing on TWO different types of bags, the second was making your way through ten different high intensity strength exercises. The class I attended was primarily focused on lower body and balance exercises. The boxing section was SO fun. It was just as much a workout for your mind as it was for your body. The trainer would call out different punch sequences throughout the workout. It was a struggle to remember all of them and remember to do them in the correct order 😂. The strength section was v challenging but it was easy to push through knowing you’d only be at each station for a couple of minutes. The entire class lasted fifty minutes and it FLEW by. You MUST arrive a half hour prior to your first class in order to meet with your trainer and go over all the fundamentals for boxing, the bag, and all the different punches and kicks.

👟THE VIBE
I almost expected a real gritty type of studio for a boxing class. RockBox was the complete opposite of what I thought it would be. It’s a very high tech studio and extremely clean. This is a great place to go if you need motivation. You are pretty much doing your own workout the entire time. You’ll be at the bag or strength station alone, yet you get the group fitness vibe and excitement seeing everyone else give it their all in class.
